What is Connecting Carers With Hope?

Great question!! Firstly, 'Connecting Carers With Hope' is the name we chose for our Support Group meetings for those caring for a loved one with cancer.

The idea behind it was harnessing the power of an online community to support each other walk the path of healing a loved one through cancer using more than just conventional alopathic medical treatments. 

There are so many carers out there struggling to come to terms with the role and all it entails. We created a safe place for caregivers to be themselves once more and freely express what they are going through, their fears, and emotions.

We are blown away by the love and compassion that this group has already shown whilst Tony is supporting someone diagnosed with this horrible disease, so Connecting Carers With Hope is here to give back to the other carers. We acknowledge your drive, passion, courage and commitment in being the primary caregiver. We know this was not a role any of us would have chosen from the shelf of life’s goals, but here we are.

Shared Wisdom

We also love the idea of the carers community coming together for support and shared wisdom. Discover what it’s like to be with like minded carers on this path and feel the warmth, generosity, kindness and support of feeling seen, heard & understood.

Our meetings are regular informal gatherings, online via Zoom (sorry you do have to bring your own tea and biscuits!)

We've had such lovely feedback about the first few sessions and we truly believe there is a need for the group to continue to grow. We also understand if it's not quite right for some people at this time. There is so much to do. You are doing an incredible job.

Observe or participate at whatever level you want to. Share your story, listen to others share their emotional highs and lows. Share your tips and rituals, and discover what other people are doing to keep their spirits high. Pay what you want, to help us with overheads.

The next meeting room will be Sunday 29 September 7pm (UK BST). Room will be open from five to seven. Admission will be restricted after 7:15. Meeting closes at 8:30 pm, but no problem at all if you need to leave early.
