What Is The Power Of Intention?
The power of intention is like an automatic navigating system for your unconscious mind. It is an energy you connect with, both consciously, and unconsciously.
In goal setting you identify the outcomes you want to achieve. You create a route map and action steps with a coach or mentor along the way. When you visualise your highest intention you direct your mind to focus on key characteristics that you need to get there.
Once you set the intention “to achieve”, it becomes your compass. You will notice situations or events which resonate with your goal. All you have to do is notice these opportunities and take appropriate action. Your unconscious mind will do the rest.

You might be thinking that the power of intention is like prayer. Ask and it is given. But that isn't entirely accurate. At least not the way most people pray.
When people pray for a certain outcome opportunities linked to that thing will show up. If you don't take opportunities the results don't materialise.
I set an intention to gain a qualification in life coaching. I visualised it and made it important for my own development. I had made a few calls to different schools but there were either no spaces or months away. Within just two weeks I received a call from Richard Bentley, Results Coaching Systems to say they had room following a last minute cancellation. Of course he didn't give me the qualification. He gave me an opportunity to take a training course the very next week. I had to invest time, effort and finances to achieve the goal. But you don’t achieve goals without accepting opportunity first.

1 We are vibrational beings in a vibrational universe.
This sounded complete bonkers to me. Forget what you are taught in school. This is about an alternate reality where our thoughts, desires, and intentions ripple outwards, shaping experiences and attracting circumstances. There is a universal energy, and we are potent sources of it. If you want proof observe animal behaviour.
2 Intention is the architect of your destiny.
You have to take ownership, or responsibility for your outcomes. To consciously choose your most desirable outcomes sculpts your future. Are you planting seeds of joy, or seeds of fear? Once you sow watch your intentions blossom into vibrant realities. The flip side is visualising negative outcomes. This is the quickest form of self sabotage.
3 Surrendering nurtures intention.
Trying to control everything around you stifles your creativity and attention. Once you put your highest intentions out there surrender to the natural flow of universal energy, trusting that your thoughts, intentions, prayers find fertile ground. Im not suggesting you do nothing, because you still have to be open to and interpret the answers being revealed to you. Regular coaching sessions help nurture your green shoots in alignment with your major goals.
4 Gratitude unlocks abundance.
Focusing on what matters most. Keep your vibration high and acknowledge the opportunities as gifts sent from the universal power, or source. Cultivate gratitude for each and every gift. Gratitude attracts more reasons to be grateful. Be joyful when you get the parking place you intended. If it isn’t free, there will be another one opening up. Program your unconscious mind to appreciate the abundance already flowing around you.
5 Forgiveness unchains the soul.
Resentment, like a rusted anchor, keeps us tethered to the past. Forgiveness in no way condones the act or behaviour, but releases you from it’s emotional grip. It's not about forgetting, it's about setting our own spirits soaring.
The Destructive Power Of Unchecked Ego

It is really important not to confuse the power of intention with Ego. Ego is a mindset which distracts you from your freedom to fully live to your highest purpose. Removal of the Ego is key to becoming magnetically attractive to previously unseen opportunities.
When you harness the power of positive intention you let go of trying to control your outcome but become fully present as you experience what life throws at you. Life is going to throw at you anyway so you may as well set powerfully attractive, positive intentions. You might just achieve them! If you don't practice the power of intention you may find yourself downstream against the current without a paddle.

6 Let joy be your compass for a fulfilling life.
Let go of controlling what others think. Stop trying to please them. It is temporary, ineffective and external validation serves only the ego. Look inwards, notice that joy aligns with your highest purpose. Tony Robbins says those who are successful have a key advantage over the rest. They learn to enJoy the process.
7 Service illuminates purpose.
Have you ever noticed that there are people you would do far more for than you would do for yourself? Living for ourselves dims the spark within. We can find meaning in serving others, allowing our unique gifts to illuminate the world around us. Marianne Williamson said “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.”
8 Now is the optimum fertile ground for intention.
The best time to plant a seed was twenty years ago. The next best time is right here right now. Dwelling on the past or worrying about the future is futile. Jim Rohn reminds us that not all seeds of our intentions land on fertile soil. Some seeds are taken by the birds. Some wither and die. But the seeds that we nurture take root and grow strong. Sow them anyway in the present moment.
9 Stillness amplifies the inner voice.
Close your eyes for a second and notice what you hear. Sounds near and far. How about going inside? The cacophony of the world drowns out the whispers of our soul. Make time for moments of stillness, and connect with your highest intention. Ask for guidance as you tune into the wisdom within.
10 This moment is your canvas.
Life isn't a pre-written script. See each moment as a blank canvas, where you can paint with the vibrant colours of your highest intention. Whatever masterpiece you paint today make your life about the the joy of creation itself.
